Cookie Policy

This website www.isplora.com and address https://www.isplora.com/ use technical cookies to assure that the procedures function properly and to improve the user experience of online applications. This document provides information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, on how they are used by the website, and on how to manage them.

Definitions

Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by the user send to their terminal equipment, where they are saved for transmission back to the website on the next visit made by the same user. Third-party cookies are instead set by a website other than the one that the user is currently visiting. This is because elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to websites on other domains, etc.) can be found on every website and which reside on servicers other than the one used by the visited website.

Types of cookies

Cookies can be divided into different categories according to their characteristics and use:

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are used only for "carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communications network, or insofar as this is strictly necessary to the provider of an information society service that has been explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide the said service" (see Section 122, paragraph 1, of the Personal Data Protection Code). They are not used for other purposes, and they are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They may be broken down into:

  • navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website;
  • cookie analytics, which are assimilated with technical cookies when they are used directly by the website manager to collect information in aggregate form, on the number of users and on how they visit the website itself;
  • functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria to improve the service provide to the user.

The user’s prior consent is not required for the installation of these cookies, but the disclosure mandated in Article 13 of the GDPR still has to be made. If the site manager uses only these devices, it may give that notice in the ways that it deems most appropriate.

Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in accordance with the preferences expressed by the user during navigation on the internet. Due to the particularly invasive nature of these devices in the user’s private life, European and Italian laws require that the user be adequately informed about their use and thereby express his/her own valid consent. Section 122 of the Personal Data Protection Code refers to them when it requires that "Storing information, or accessing information that is already stored, in the terminal equipment of a contracting party or user shall only be permitted on condition that the contracting party or user has given his consent after being informed in accordance with the simplified arrangements mentioned in section 13(3)" (Section 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). This website does not use profiling cookies.

Third-party Cookies
While visiting this website, you might receive cookies from websites managed by other organizations (“third-parties”). One example is represented by the presence of "social plug-ins" for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or LinkedIn, or systems to display embedded multimedia content, such as YouTube, Flikr. These are parts generated directly by the aforementioned websites and integrated in the web page of the visited host site. The presence of these plug-ins involves the transmission of cookies from and to all the websites generated by third parties. The management of information collected by “third-parties” is governed by the applicable notices, which should be read.
To assure greater transparency and convenience, we provide the following web addresses of the different notices and the cookie management procedures generated on the ISPLORA website.

Duration of the cookies
em

Certain cookies (session cookies) remain active until the browser is closed or a logout command is executed. Other cookies "survive" closure of the browser and are also available on subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are called “persistent”, and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In certain cases, an expiration date is set, while in other cases the duration is unlimited.
The cookies used on this website have a three-month duration.

Cookie management

The user may decide whether or not to accept the cookies by using the settings on his/her own browser. Warning: completely or partially disabling the technical cookies might compromise optimal use of the website. Disabling the third-party cookies in no way impairs the possibility of navigating on the site.
The setting may be made specifically for each one of different websites and applications. Moreover,  browsers allow you to make different settings for proprietary cookies and for third-party cookies. For example, in Firefox, you can access a control panel by going through the menu Tools->Options->Privacy, where you can define whether or not to accept the different types of cookies and then remove them. On the internet, you can easily find documentation explaining how to set the cookie management rules for your own browser.
